While most of the international insurance coverage benefits are the same across the plan options, they differ in terms of additional coverage options such as travel expenses, accommodation expenses, assistance services, etc.

This variation allows you to choose a plan tailored to your specific financial situation and medical needs. And with us, you can also ensure a lifetime limit with twice the annual sum insured.

Illnesses and Treatments Covered

International medical insurance coverage is extended to a wide range of illnesses and their treatments, including cancer treatment, neurosurgery, heart valve replacement or repair, bone marrow transplant, donor organ transplant, and reconstructive surgery.

Inpatient Care

Inpatient treatment expenses related to hospitalisation are covered up to the limit of the sum insured. It covers the medical services offered, such as ambulance charges, the cost of medication and organ donor expenses. It helps you recover faster and better without the distraction of managing medical expenses.

Pre-Hospitalisation Expenses

The international health insurance cover also extends to pre-hospitalisation medical expenses within the sum insured from the date of arrival in the city for up to 15 days or until the commencement of the planned medical procedure, whichever is earlier.

Post-Hospitalisation Expenses

Post-hospitalisation medical care is highly essential especially for major surgeries. We offer international health cover for post-hospitalisation medical expenses within the sum insured for up to 30 days from the hospital discharge.

Pre and Post-Operative Day Care Treatment

Pre and post-operative day care treatment refers to medical procedures that do not require overnight hospitalisation. This comprehensive international health cover minimises your out-of-pocket expenses if you are going abroad for a planned surgical procedure.

Rehabilitation

Accident-related rehabilitation services, such as physical, occupational and speech therapy, are required to restore mobility and strength after a massive accident. Reliance Health Global Policy covers these expenses under the Elite + and Royal + plans.

Travel Expenses

Under our Elite + and Royal + plans, Reliance Health Global Policy also offers international insurance coverage for travel expenses worldwide for planned medical procedures and hospitalisations.

The coverage is offered to the insured, companion and living donor(if applicable). The benefit offered is different for countries, including the USA and Canada and excluding them.

Accommodation Expenses

Further, the Elite + and Royal + Plan covers accommodation expenses for up to a maximum of 60 days within the sum insured. Here again, the coverage differs for the countries worldwide, including the US and Canada and excluding them.

Further, the coverage is applicable to the accommodation for the insured person, companion, and the living donor (if applicable) in the city of treatment.

Repatriation of Mortal Remains

In the unfortunate event of the insured’s death, coverage for the repatriation of mortal remains pays for the expenses to transport the deceased person’s remains to India. It applies to even local cremation or burial procedures.

​Scope of Coverage

Reliance Health Global + India Policy includes a wide range of illnesses and planned and emergency hospitalisations in India under two plan options, namely, Basic Plan and Comprehensive Plan. Both plans offer extensive coverage benefits tailored to diverse healthcare needs.

You can determine the sum insured required and benefit from unlimited reinstatement if it gets exhausted in a given policy year.

Treatments Covered

It covers all illnesses, including specified illnesses, such as cancer treatment, heart valve replacement or repair, neurosurgery, bone marrow transplant, organ donor surgery, etc., in India. With an adequate sum insured under international health insurance cover, you can ensure the highest quality treatment and advanced medical procedures.

Inpatient Care

Inpatient care provides comprehensive support for all your hospitalisation needs. When you are hospitalised, you can get covered for the medical expenses, including consumables up to the sum insured. Further, you can also benefit from no restriction on room category.

Day Care Treatment

Day Care treatment refers to any treatment that does not require hospitalisation, even for a day. Your policy extends coverage to a wide range of Day Care procedures up to the sum insured.

No Claim Bonus and Inflation Protection

For every claim-free year, you can benefit from a 25% increase in the base sum insured up to 100%. However, in the event of a claim, the sum insured will decrease by 25%.

Furthermore, with Reliance General Insurance, regardless of the number of claims made in a particular year, the base sum insured at the end of every policy year can increase by 8% (up to 100%).

Home Care Treatment

Under the comprehensive plan, you can benefit from coverage for home care treatments for up to 15 days in a policy year, including round-the-clock doctor visits.

OPD and Medical Equipment

Under the comprehensive plan, you can also cover the costs for OPD, including Generalist and Specialist Consultations, Prescribed Diagnostic Tests, Dental Treatments, etc.

In addition, you can also get covered for the expenses related to small or durable medical equipment obtained for medical purposes.

Domiciliary Expenses

Suppose you are unable to go to a hospital due to illness or the unavailability of hospital rooms. In that case, you can be covered for the expenses of getting treated at your home within the sum insured.

Pre-Hospitalisation and Post-Hospitalisation Expenses

With our Global + India Cover, you can be covered for all the medical expenses before and after hospitalisation for up to 90 days and after hospitalisation for up to 180 days within the sum insured under the international insurance coverage.
