A pre-existing disease is any sickness, medical condition or injury that was diagnosed within 36 months of the start date of your policy. A couple of examples include diabetes and high blood pressure.
Some medical procedures require you to spend money before and or after being admitted to the hospital. These could be doctor consultations or post-surgery recovery. Such expenses are known as pre and post-hospitalisation expenses.
OPD stands for Out-Patient Department. It’s a facility for patients to access medical consultation and treatment without getting admitted to the hospital. OPD services available to patients include consultation with doctors, diagnostic tests, dental treatment, etc.
Consumables Cover pays for an assortment of consumables like syringes, gloves and sanitary pads which are necessary for your treatment if you get hospitalised. This cover is clubbed with the Unlimited Restore Benefit under the Limitless Covers add-on.
Your health insurance plan lasts for 12 months from the start date of the policy. If you want your policy for a longer duration you can buy a two or three year policy.
No, if you add all your family members under one plan then you need only pay a single premium amount to cover all of them.
You can pay your insurance premium by credit or debit card, UPI, Net Banking and through EMI.

If you, by any chance, have failed to pay the policy renewal premium, you become uninsured again. This indicates that the coverage served to you by your health insurance plan has been taken back. To avoid this, it’s essential you pay the renewal premium before the due date.
You can increase your sum insured either by buying an additional health insurance policy or by getting a top-up plan. Either way, you can increase your base coverage.
You can make cashless claims only if you get treated at one of our network hospitals. If you’re admitted to a non-network hospital, you can make claims on a reimbursement basis.
Getting treated at a non-network hospital means you cannot make a cashless claim. This means that you have to settle the hospital bills first and then get reimbursed by our claims team.
