Specific waiting period	2 years of waiting period applies on specific diseases. A continuous coverage of 24 months is essential after the date of inception of the first policy.
Pre-existing Diseases waiting period	3 years waiting period for expenses related to the treatment of PED. A continuous coverage of 36 months is essential after the date of inception of the first policy.

Claim Process

You can choose between cashless and reimbursement claims as per your convenience. For cashless claims, you must get treated at a network hospital where the insurer would settle the bills directly with the hospital authorities. If you want reimbursement claims, pay your bills initially and retain the original bills and receipts. Submit the original bills when you raise the claim.

What do you mean by Pre-Existing Disease ?

Pre-existing disease refers to any condition, injury, ailment or disease that was diagnosed within 48 months prior to the first policy availed by the insurer. Some of the most common pre-existing diseases include diabetes, sleep apnea, and various other chronic diseases.
Can a person have more than one health insurance policy?

Yes, one can have more than one health insurance policy. However, you cannot claim similar expenses from them. Through this, the policyholders get the benefit of enjoying two plans that’ll be useful in a wide variety of circumstances.
What do you mean by Network/Non-network Hospitalization ?

Network Hospitalization - if you get your treatment or surgery done at a network hospital, the insurance provider will settle the amount directly with the hospital to the extent pre-authorizations is approved and in accordance with the policy’s terms and conditions.

Non-Network Hospitalization - if you decide to visit a non-network hospital, the insurer will reimburse you for all the hospital expenses you incur keeping in mind the policy’s terms and conditions.

I have car or two-wheeler policy with Reliance General Insurance, am I eligible for any discount ?

Yes, you’ll be eligible for a 10% Prime Discount as an existing customer of Reliance General Insurance.
What is the waiting period for health Infinity insurance?

The waiting period for your health Infinity insurance is typically the time span where you cannot make any claim under your plan The time period often depends on your health condition and mediclaim insurance.
Is the Health Infinity insurance policy valid across the world?

Yes, with the addition of the MoreGlobal option, you can get treatements done even outside India. So, if you plan to travel abroad, make sure you get the Reliance Health Infinity plan with the MoreGlobal option.
Do I need to do a medical test before I buy health insurance?

You don’t need to do a medical test before buying health insurance, unless you’re above the age of 45. For those above the age of 45, certain medical tests are conducted before a policy is issued.

At what age can I include my children in the plan ?

The entry age for a child dependent is 91 days upto 25 years.
What is the ideal coverage amount I should include in my health insurance plan?

It’s recommended that you have a sum insured that is at least double of your annual income. However, each person has their own needs that means you may need a higher coverage amount.

What if I forget to pay my health insurance premium?

If you, by any chance, have failed to pay the policy renewal premium, you become uninsured again. This indicates that the coverage served to you by your health insurance plan has been taken back. To avoid this, it’s essential you pay the renewal premium before the due date.
How do I increase my sum insured over my existing health insurance plan?

You can increase your sum insured either by buying an additional health insurance policy or by getting a top-up plan. Either way, you can increase your base coverage.
